Chad Urevig grew up on a family farm near Lewisville, MN. He is a 1994 graduate of St. James High School, and 1996 graduate of Waldorf College with an A.A. in Business, a 2002 graduate of the University of Maryland with a B.S. in Business Management with a minor in Economics, a 2004 graduate of Touro University with an MBA in Information Technology and a 2013 graduate of South Central College with an A.A.S. in Agronomy. Chad is also a military veteran and former government contractor that served several tours in Europe, Iraq, and Afghanistan from 1999-2008. Chad’s experience in retail agriculture stems from 2008 when he took over as the Sales Manager for The Ag Center in Lewisville, MN. He created a crop scouting program, a seed sales program to include variety plots, county plots and experimental plots, an application business and he was in charge of all of the advertising, marketing and sales of fertilizer, chemical and seed throughout the company. In 2011, Chad decided to make the transition to taking on a Producers Hybrids Dealership. Currently that dealership is operating as a “Premiere” Producers Hybrid Dealership with a premier volume status sold annually (which is in the top 5% of sales nationally). In 2013, The Ag center was purchased by WFS Coop. Chad was hired by FCA Coop as the agronomy/location manager for the Lakefield/Okabena areas. There he implemented sales training, operating procedures and managed over 25 personnel driven towards the company’s mission. Today, Chad owns/operates his own retail seed, chemistry and fertilizer company known as Tri-County Seed.
